How do I contact the Transportation Department?

The District provides transportation to and from school for all students based on the state-approved guidelines. Bus stops are established by the School District and cannot be changed without the consent of school authorities.

The Transportation Secretary is located in the District Office, and can be reached at (717) 957-6000,option 5,between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Bus Emergencies

  • High School- If you are calling after 3:30 p.m. please call Rohrer Bus Service at (717) 957-3811, x. 1205
  • Middle School- If you are calling after 4:00 p.m. please call Rohrer Bus Service at (717) 957-3811, x. 1205
  • Elementary School- If you are calling after 4:15 p.m. please call Rohrer Bus Service at (717) 957-3811, x. 1205

When a school bus has its lights flashing and stop arm extended, you must stop. The only exception is if you are on the opposite side of a highway divided by a concrete barrier or grassy median. If you are following or traveling alongside a school bus, the law also requires you to stop at least ten (10) feet away. Address/ Bus Stop Change
Use this form to request a change to your child's assignment, such as an ADDRESS CHANGE.

  • Requests will NOT be granted in the two (2) weeks prior, or two (2) weeks following, the first student day of the school year.

  • Requests will NOT be granted in the final two (2) weeks of the school year.

  • Requests must be submitted at least five (5) school days in advance the date of the proposed transportation change.

Request to Modify an Established Bus Route or Stop 
Use this form to request a change to the bus route, such as ADDING OR MOVING A STOP.

  • By July 30th of each year, you may submit a request for the upcoming school year.

  • After July 30th, the District will only consider authorizing changes in the case of extreme hardship or emergency.
