JAZZ BAND
Jazz Band meets outside of school hours. Any band student is
welcome to join jazz band. Jazz ensembles are usually made
up of saxophones (alto, tenor, bari), trumpets, trombones,
piano, bass, guitar, and drum set. However, if you play another
instrument, you can still join.
Jazz Band performs at school events and at outside venues.
HAWK n' ROLL
New to Susquenita in 2022, Hawk n' Roll is our Winter/Spring
Pep Band. The group can be seen at select home games and
events.
PIT ENSEMBLE
The Pit is the live music ensemble for the spring musical.
Instrumentation in the Pit depends on the show, and students
are selected by the director. The pit includes both students and
professional players.
CHAMBER ENSEMBLES
Chamber Music groups are small ensembles made up of similar
instruments in a family. Chamber groups are formed by students
and coached by Mr. Carraher. In the past, we have had brass
quintets, sax quartets, a flute choir, and a percussion ensemble.
Chamber groups may perform at concerts, school events, or
outside venues. Students who are interested in starting Chamber
groups should speak to Mr. Carraher.
